USB Charging Hub Suggestions?

Ryzon321 » Sat Feb 18, 2017 8:21 pm

Hi, I'm looking at buying a USB charging hub, to simplify my cords. After looking on Amazon, I quickly realized there are tons of different ones. Is there any models, or brands, that people have experience with, and recommend ? Any suggestions ? Are the really cheap ones safe to use for all phones ? Any other info would be helpful, Thanks.

Yes I bought the sabrent 10 port, the model the link goes to. I have been happy with it so far. I now have it fully loaded. So far so good.

Aww wish I had seen this sooner. I bought the Anker 6 Port only to realize I'm going to need another soon. Will pick it up next.

This one currently has a deal that you can add a 6 pack of USB cables for free (3 - 3ft and 3 - 1ft cables, usually 8.99). I've been watching a bit and seemed like a good deal for a small farm. I have 2 tablets and 4 phones, so this is ideal at the moment.

Seems like a good deal but not sure how good Sabrent is as a brand.

Well, I can report back later. At this point, all I can say it I was looking at it, because I saw it recommended as a hub in a few different places.

Personally, I think the Hub might be fine but the USB cables are the worrying part since some are really easy to break. That's why I use Anker's PowerLine+ ones cause they are heavily re-enforced and their warrenty is top notch.

I bought the Sabrent 10 port 2 months ago or so. It has been good so far. It doesn't get hot and otherwise it just works. I have 10 devices plugged into it.

Ah, I see. You mentioned Sabrent, so I was thinking the hub. Cables were free, so they'll do for a newbie. As I learn and invest, I'll keep Anker's PowerLine+ in mind.

So far I have been buying my USB cords at a dollar store for 1.25 each. They are 3 feet long and cheap, but work fine for now. I will need to buy some longer ones soon.

Walmart.com has some really good deals on USB cables and most with free shipping. I recently bought a 5 pack for $5.

Thanks I'll check it out. I am in Canada though, and the deals on .ca are often not as good....

Just like a few others have said, the Anker 10 port hub would be useful also. The price is steep at $39.99, but may be better quality than the Sabrent. Hopefully the money you make from the devices will help you pay back the price of the USB hub! Anker 10 USB Hub: https://www.amazon.com/Anker-10-Port-Ch ... rt+USB+Hub
