I have about 17 phones, an old laptop, and an ipad that I have been using for the past 6 months or so. Problem is is I didn't set them up according to Joe's recomendations.

If I delete my accounts off all my devices and factory reset all devices and start fresh following Joe's guide could this cause any problems?

Also I have never attempted to root a phone, does this make much of a difference in earnings?

There shouldn't be a problem of wiping the phones but make sure you save the accounts. You can't make new accounts for most apps/sites. You will just have to sign in to those accounts after you restore the phones.

If you root your phones you could download the beermoney app to clear the cache of most apps at a set time.

what would be the point of restoring them

Not really restoring, only wiping to set them up a second time.
