Is there a way to tell if you have too many devices connected to your router?
I was just wondering if there was a way to tell if you have too many devices connected to 1 router? Is basically the only sign if your phones wifi start disconnecting? I have an asus router with 50+ devices connected running 24/7. I dont seem to be having any issues that I know of other than the internet sometimes taking a bit longer to load a web page. Should I be looking into an access point now or does it sound like everything is working fine?

This should be the one. I also have the app and it is telling me that it never goes over 30ish % cpu usage. Not sure if that matters for how many devices are connected and signal.

I have 150mb download with 20mb upload. I have not noticed internet dropping or anything just sometimes being slow and web pages taking a bit longer to load. I am hooked up with ethernet on my pc that I am experiencing slow web pages sometimes. If I was absolutely sure that an access point would make everything work better and increase my earnings I would highly consider getting one.
I read somewhere else that you should have 1 access point per 20 phones that you have. Not sure how accurate that is since I have 50+ devices connected to my router and as far as I know all of them seem to be working. I see a lot of spinning circles but from what I have read that seems to be more to do with the apps not having ads right now.

*I had two modems. You can have as many routers as you want.Joe just made a video on 2 routers. You are not supposed to do it and his got shut down. So he got the access point. I would just get one even if you router works fine. They send the signal through the electric. They work awesome.

Once I got over 30 phones I noticed the need to get another AP for wireless connectivity regardless of distance. You don't need more than one router. That creates more SSIDs in your WiFi settings and confusion connecting everything.
You can even turn most routers into an access point if you need to.

Could you shed some light on the differences? Is there a big difference between them? I would assume that the $300 model could run more phones at once?

The HD model is the $300 one. It has higher throughput on both the 2.4GHz channel and 5.0GHz channel so yes, it should be able to handle more.https://www.amazon.com/Ubiquiti-Network ... cess+point

I wouldn't buy more until you absolutely need it. You will know when they start disconnecting and the internet slows. My Ubiquiti AC PRO runs with around 40 devices attached no problem. Visit my routine page for more information on the setup.

I don't know how many phones they can do before having problems.

Thats weird. I must have a really good router because I have 55+ devices all connected. I have not noticed any wifi dropping but I do notice spinning circles all the time. From what I have read it seems to be because of the limited amount of ads I was just worried that it could have something to do with having everything connected to 1 router.
Spinning circles usually isn't a WiFi problem as long as speeds are the same. That is usually video availability or cache buildup.Thats weird.
