New MyPoints TV App
Mypoints has just added a new TV app just like the other SB TV sites. Up and running now. You do need a Mypoints account because you earning points on that site.
Hopefully they will go ahead and add more of the SBTV type apps as well.

Earning rate starts out at 5pts per 10 videos. 5 points equals 2.75 cents if redeemed for paypal or a little more than 3 cents if used for retail gift cards (amazon etc.)
But after a few cycles it changes to 30 views per 5 points - Whoa! Looks like it might be good to use till it changes to the 30 views but then probably not worth the time.
This is my first time running it so I will let it run - since it is such a high number of views needed it may have no daily limit. I'll post results

Mypoints and Swagbucks are owned by the same company and have the same TOS so whatever you can use for SB you should be able to use for Mypoints. (1 account per person but no number specified for accounts per household) Have to wait and see if there is a daily limit because if there is you could only earn up to that amount no matter how many devices you used - you would need multiple accounts to add limits
I seen this in the App store the day it came out, and since it's Swag affiliated I got really excited.. Sadly the way SBTV has ran for me the last two months and the cap on this app makes it not seem worth it.
Not sure why they'd release this a standalone app as it's less lucrative then their SBTV related apps that can net you double a day with little more effort.

This is just the first video app that the company has rolled out under the Mypoints name, I'm sure that they will probably be adding the others that they have under the SB name as well.I seen this in the App store the day it came out, and since it's Swag affiliated I got really excited.. As far as the payout it is really the same as the SB apps on average. The specific SBTV app is indeed better at 30 total videos for the max 10cents but the others in the SB video apps are at 50 to 75 total videos for the max 10 cent payout. This Mypoints app is a total of 50 videos for the 15 pts/10 cent max.
I would hope they roll out more. This has already been out for over a month or two, right? Seems like a good concept since a lot of Swag users stick to their video apps anyways. Adding more to the Mypoints roster would certainly make it more appealing. This is just the first video app that the company has rolled out under the Mypoints name, I'm sure that they will probably be adding the others that they have under the SB name as well.I seen this in the App store the day it came out, and since it's Swag affiliated I got really excited.. And at ten cents a day, that would net you $3.00 a month roughly.. Not bad for how long it takes per day. Still not for me, yet. Rewardable, Perk or YoLotto can net you far more than ten cents a day with about the same amount of effort/less if there's no bad static ads.
Yes you're right, for now at least - 10 cents a day is nothing to get excited about; but they will surely add the other apps. And its not necessarily an "either/or" proposition. You can do all of the apps.
Its just whether or not you would make enough money to devote (or purchase) a dedicated device(s) for them.
Since the six SB video apps only take a few hours to max out I will probably just use the devices that I use for them to add any MyPts apps to them. Then switch them over to AppTrailers or Perk after they're done.

Hopefully they do add additions to the Mypoints roster. It's a good concept as a lot of SB users stick to strictly their video apps anyways, and considering SB's apps are still higher earners even with a little more effort, I'd opt for the potential 60 cents a day versus ten. This is just the first video app that the company has rolled out under the Mypoints name, I'm sure that they will probably be adding the others that they have under the SB name as well.I seen this in the App store the day it came out, and since it's Swag affiliated I got really excited.. At ten cents a day, that would net $3 a month, which isn't terrible.. but not for me, yet. Perk, Rewardable or YoLotto can net much more than ten cents a day with less effort assuming there's not a bad static ad day.
Is Mypoints completely passive or do you have to X out of ads within making the ten points? Right now even with SBTV, which is generally the most reliable of their lineup, I have to manually X out of at least 5 or ads to get my daily ten SB.
Yeah they are two separate reward programs by the same company as Prodege who owns Swagbucks acquired MyPoints from United Online in April of this year. So if they ever do merge them, it's gonna be a while. It appears they are not directly linked with SB however. I can't login to my same account.

I would prefer them separate. It allows for more money to be made.Yeah they are two separate reward programs by the same company as Prodege who owns Swagbucks acquired MyPoints from United Online in April of this year. Yes but these companies do want to make as much money for themselves therefore they try and collaborate with other companies. Yes it does mean that earnings will be affected.I would prefer them separate.
