New Cable Management Wire Wraps and Other Ideas
They sure aren't necessary, but they also sure do make it a lot prettier!
The new wire wraps have pretty much eliminated tape (except for the IDs).

I wish I could have gotten this one, but it doesn't have holes throughout. It could be useful for you though depending on the setup. The reason I like this one better is because it has a zipper rather than velcro which would be easier:
