Access point?

equestgirl95 » Tue Feb 21, 2017 8:10 pm

I'm not really sure how all the network stuff works, I have internet but it's not great, to my understanding, I need an access point for all of my money making devices. What kind would I need to get, that's not expensive? How do I go about setting it up? Any advice would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Well it depends on the list of apps or how much do you want to use them every day. If you want to use them a lot it will cost a few extra bucks for an better acces point...

I have them running 24/7

Well then i suggest you to buy an more expensive access point because i believe that you don't want the access point to stop running due to a malfunction....

Also if you keep them on 24/7 then don't expect to resist more than 1-2 years, after that i think that they won't be as fast as before:(

Do you know what kind I should get or how expensive it will be?
Yeah I know, I plan on expanding and getting better ones as I can make more money.

You can find access points as expensive as over 1000 $, but for what you are doing a Access point that is max 200$ can help you.

Also keep in mind that if you don't use them correctly they might malfunction in 2 - 3 years and will need to be replaced.

Thank you, that helps a lot!

You can also find some that cost only 50 $ so this should be your price range 50-150$. Not to expensive but also not very cheap. You can find some on Amazon.

Thank you, I can probably get one for 50 in about a month if I don't turn my phone on yet.

Ok really glad to help as always. I like so much this community. I spend more time on it than I spend with my money making apps :)

I do too, I just get the phones going in the morning and leave them and check them periodically.

Ping: 33 ms, Download: 51.11, 54.18 mbps, that's only if I'm in the same room as the router. It's much worse across the hall.

Well as long as you make the room with the router your money-making room then you shouldn't have any sort of problem. :)

You might want to add a wireless access point on the other side of the house. I will be making a wifi setup video on my YouTube channel bboy tech after I feel better

I think that there are out there devices called Wifi Signal boster which boosts the signal throughout the rooms.

are my speeds decent for in this room?

Andru » Mon Mar 06, 2017 6:52 am

Yes they are 100% decent for the room unless you want to make money in a separate room....

We just got a new and better router and now my internet download speed in my room, where I want to keep my phones is 8.30 mbps
