Buy Better Cables for Your Internet Equipment

I never mentioned cables in my optimizing internet for making money video:

Yet this is very important.
I came home to find the internet not working. No money - resetting didn't work - other hookups didn't work - called the ISP. They wanted to send someone for $100 so I hung up.
It was the ISP cable that failed.

Buy better cables so you don't waste your time with failures:

Not more than 2 weeks ago I had the cable fail that I had between my modem and router. I do networking for my living, I have never seen this happen before but swapped out with new Cat 6 and off to the races I went.

Damn $100? Would've been daylight robbery!

I have a 1000 ft spool of CAT5e sitting in my garage, connectors, and crimpping tool! I wish it was CAT6, but I'll be good for a bit! I recommend nothing lower then CAT5e.

5e does gigabit, all that matters!

Do you think this is the reason why my internet is running so slow? I use the Cables & Ethernet from what Comcast give me but I do have my own Modem Router.

Comcast should be giving CAT5e at least. The cable should be RG6. Read the wire to see what they are and report back!
